Global Catalyst Senior Fellow: Diana Ayton-Shenker

Diana Ayton-Shenker, Global Catalyst Senior Fellow at the Schools of Public Engagement, recently edited the book A New Global Agenda: Priorities, Pathways, and Practices of the International Community. In compiling the book, Ayton-Shenker solicited chapters from thought leaders from a wide variety of fields, including environmental policy and sustainability, mobility and migration, higher education, and human rights law. Several contributors hail from The New School: Mary Watson, executive dean of the Schools of Public Engagement; Alex Aleinikoff, director of the Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility; Michael Cohen, professor of international affairs; and Lena Simet, PhD candidate in the Public and Urban Policy program at the Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment.

The publication of A New Global Agenda: Priorities, Pathways, and Practices of the International Community is meant to be a jumping-off point for a collaborative approach to confronting global challenges around three major global agendas: the updated United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Accord on Climate Change, and the New Urban Agenda established by Habitat III.

The New School hosted the book launch in March of 2018 which can be streamed below:
